My 50in plasma has just given up the ghost. It maybe fixable but I am going to garage it for now and take the opportunity to upgrade.

I bought it from a well known PHeader several years ago but alas it seems his Bolton emporium is no more.

So looking for 55-60in, and ideally want it here by the weekend!!

Budget 1-2k and if its very wide I may need a cantilever stand as it is sitting in a conservatory corner above the window sill.

Any suggestions???

This stood out straight away any advice?

Also must be able to deal with the fast motion of live sport

been sniffing around the forums for the last few weeks with the idea of buying a nice shiny new tv, seems Panasonic is the 'best' one, im aiming for the 65inch VT they do, but going to wait a month or 2 for a new model/ discount on an old one if its enough

Well this evening research lead me to the same conclusion Panasonic 55VT50 on the way, just haven't the space in the conservatory for a 65in.

Still looking for a cantilever stand recommendation though

Well, the place I look after the IT is pretty much the only official Panasonic centre around Manchester since that Bolton place went out of business. We've just had the new TVs in and they are very impressive, plus you get a 5 year warranty included. We almost gave away the old models to make way for the new range!

The VT50 range is now finished and there's no remaining stock at PUK of the 65" model, PM me for our price
the new VT65 series sets are out late April

Are you aware of a price increase in the new model, I can currently get the old/current model for CHF 3k (about 2kGBP)

I guess i should buy the latest tech really, unless people have other ideas ears
