Is it any good?

We have 2sky boxes so paying £50 per month which will increase to £70 in July. Thinking of removing a sky box & replacing with BT which looks cheaper.

Are the bt offerings not delivered via ariel? Would freesat be a better bet?

What do you want from it?

If you like the Sky channel range, threaten to leave, and the subscription will magically go down again.

If not, Freesat boxes are a straight swap.

The BT Vision thing is less than compelling, but then I have an issue with paying for TV smile

Thanks for the help. I have threatened to leave and Sky reduced the price but not enough for me. I think the BT jobie works thru the phone line so no need for a new dish.

Current BT Vision supplies a Humax YouView box which is Freeview+ with extras such as catch up on BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD and Demand 5. There are additional channels delivered via your broadband.

TalkTalk have a similar package, supplying the same Humax YouView box.

There is a similar system for FreeSat called FreeTime and Humax make a box for that as well.

Thanks. Do you know if the BT package has as many channels as Sky?

I don't have BT Vision or $ky, have you considered looking at the BT website?

Yes, of course I have looked at the web site. Just wondered if somebody here had experienced BT television.

I have both btvision and sky. Bt vision now uses a humax box that has recording for freeview channels similar to sky and ondemand services inc btvision and iplayer etc.

Btvision does not have channels as its on demand with content similar to netflix or lovefilm instant. It also has movie remtals of the latest dvd releases for £3.50

Its not as good as sky but you can also get now tv from sky on youview
