Wireless speakers, where, cost etc

Parents have just got a new tv. HD, smart LG type thing and they have asked me if there were any such thing as wireless surround sound speakers.

As I know nothing about that kind of thing I thought the natural thing would be to come on here and ask!

So does any one know of any, where to get them and how much etc.

I was looking for a solution as well. Yes I know they need mains, but the mains sockets are there, nailing wires to the walls was not on the cards and started to look at the Sonus system but went wireless headphones instead.

You still need mains and personally I would rather pay half the cost of the gear to have a spark hide the cables, but there are options if you need them

I do apologise for the late reply, no April fools. Only asking what I was asked! Father doesn't seem to mind a cable going to the power but likes a clean cable free TV!

As said I know very little about speakers etc, was not aware if they could run from batteries . I am now aware of how stupid I must sound!

Google something called Rock Fish (I think thats what its called).

Think you can use existing speakers, but this will make them wireless.
