It's a twin cable, looks a bit like a figure 8 when viewed end-on. One of the cables is co-ax, the other is a multi-core type (glorified cat5 as far as I could make out).

I asked a Virgin man and he gave some cable to run under my floor, just keep an eye out for one of their vans. As said its a 'shotgun' cable, a co-ax with the phone cable attached, will need to get to the little service box in the pavement with CTV stamped on the plate.

You are aware that Virgin will take the easiest route, they won't lift paving, they won't dig a trench or mole. Unless they can clip to a wall or similar they will just lay a green plastic pipe/conduit in the flower boarder and run the cable through that.

If you're lucky they'll lay a conduit. I put a spade through my cable because the idle blighters just buried the bare cable below my lawn.
