Current TV recommendations?

Any informed recommendations for TVs for a couple of rooms? Normal TV watching + home cinema use as well. One 50" and one 60" ideally. Budget about £3-4k for both. Most people say Samsung and LG are current frontrunners, but I'm really no expert.

There may be some brand new, unopened Panasonic VT50's (50" plasma) still remaining in the Richer Sounds network as there certainly were 4-5 nationwide about 10 days back (collection only). An incredibly well rated TV, reduced from £1,900 to £1,099. Sevenoaks Audio may also have some.

One thing to consider would be the location of the TV within each of the rooms.

Our plasma was very reflective so we've just gone for an Samsung F8000. Its still reflective but alot better than the plasma Panasonic it replaces (located right opposite the window).

Thanks for replies. Now went ahead with Samsung PS64E8000 and Samsung UE60ES6300.

Just to say both the above now delivered and installed. So far so good. No problems at all and perfectly satisfactory in every way.
