Hello Peeps, can anyone recommend a particular model? I´ve been umming and arring long enough now, it´s time to get one.
I had a quick look the other day, and the selection is bewildering!

TIA,
Mick. smile

I bought a PS3 specifically for bluerays after bad experiences with other manufacturers but as above generally anything Sony is a good start.

Pioneer. All of them are good Blu Ray players but most play other formats as well. Hence the sound is superb as well. If you have a few bob Any Denon will do a good job as well.

The BDPS790 is expensive given it's limitations. I'd go Pioneer BDP150 Under £100, BDP450 Under £200 The BDPLX55 is a steal at £249.99 with the Cambridge Audio 651 really squeezing any player at £299. Then There is the Denon DBT1713UDT at £350 with the Cambridge 751 for Top Notch Video and Audio replay at £499 putting OPPO under real pressure.

You haven't got time to waste watching movies if you're ever going to finish building that car wink!!!

biglaugh I have a house and a boat to finish first smile I may be out of a job soon, so I´ll have time to watch movies rolleyes

Thanks for all the replies. smile

I opted for the Sony BDPS790B. I was very tempted by the Pioneer BDP150, but the 5 star rating from "Which" something or other magazine for the Sony swung it smile
The others where a bit more than I wanted to pay. Should arrive from Amazon.es next week smile

Cheers,
Mick.
