I've been told that my TV won't work in Oz. The TV video will but the audio not.
I've a 5.1 speaker setup with amp. The amp works off the audio sent to if, so will it work in oz or will I have the same issues.

I'm slowly working out what to, and what not to take.

You'd have to do some googling around Aussie DVB-T specs to see if they're the same as Freeview. If they are and the same channels it should be ok.

Your amp/speakers should work fine. Looking at this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mains_electricity_by... Australia is 230V so as long as you've got the right power lead it'll be fine as most stuff works within certain tolerances.

We're also 230V as well. I know most people think we're still 240 and in practice it's normally closer to 240 it's defined as 230V with a tolerance of +10%/-6% so can vary a fair bit. Sorry to be OT and/or pedantic

I took my Denon over with me last year. Works fine.

For the TV, you need to get a digital tuner. We bought a Panasonic dual tuner with HDD and blu-ray.

Bring the TV over, buy a Digi-box locally for $20.

That's what I did.

Everything will work fine power-wise, just take a few uk four+ way power extensions to connect to the aussie plug sockets with a travel adaptor. Never had any problems with phones, stereo, pc etc.
