Which TV should I choose

Hi all, I used to have a 50" LG Plasma TV (50PS6000) but it broke and under the warranty I have been told it is in repairable. The TV was purchased from Comet and the company who have taken the business over have offered me 2 alternative replacements:

1) LG50PN650T - this is a plasma

2) Panasonic - TXL50EM6B - LCD, LED backlit

I have a PS3 for gaming/blueray and we have sky HD. Seating is between 7 and 12ft from the screen.

I appreciate this may be opening up the plasma/LCD debate and I can assure you this is not intentional I just want to make sure I make rthe right decision.

If you can go and have a look at both of them in action. After all it is you who is going to watch which ever you get.
