Always fancied one as a talking point in our lounge, along with pinball table and a few other toys from yesteryear. For now I will settle for a jukebox, anyone else in here have an interest in these that would like to share some wisdom to a new collector?

If you want classic looks thats new, well built by craftsmen and also iPod/sonos driven you can do a lot worse than these from my mates family business http://www.classicjukeboxes.co.uk/

Do you want it as a show piece or to actually play music? There are plenty of recreations that are generally tidier than vintage machines, can play something other than 78s and are usually a bit cheaper too.

Vintage machines are generally made by either Seeburg, AMI, Rockola or Wurlitzer. The most famous being the latter's 1015.

Decent vintage machines are generally in the thousands, cost-wise, with 1015s easily 5 figures.

Thanks for replies. Interested in a jukebox in working order that I can use occasionally. Not overly concerned about the sound quality as the item will be decorative, fun and a talking point. Also I want it to be an investment whereby if I decide to sell on later for upgrading or just a change of style I won't lose a shed load of money.
So a new old fashioned style is not what I'm after.
