Currently re-jigging my home setup and as part of that Im looking at sorting out media storage and trying to figure out the best options.

Currently Im using a 32gb USB flash drive which is really just a stop gap solution whilst I only have a very minimal amount on it.

Longer term I was looking at using the likes of an external hard drive to store & subsequently play media directly throught he TV;s USB, however having done some trawling of the t'internet it seems that due to formatting etc. things are perhaps not quite as simple as I first thought.
Does anyone have any suggestions, I had been looking at the likes of a 1 or 2 TB drive, not that I think Ill need anything that big for a while but Im looking at a larger drive being as a bit of future proofing.

Okay so a little more research, presumably I could use this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cyclone-Primus-2TB-Media-P...

and just transfer data across from the flash drive?

You can stick an HDMI cable between that and the TV, and not have to faff around with transferring media at all.

Sorry I meant transferring media from the flash drive to then store and run on that through the tv.
