Ive had a Yamaha YSP-30D for a few years that I've been really pleased with.

However, last night, the remote packed up. I've searched online for a replacement but to no avail.

I've started to think about maybe replacing the soundbar. So, 2 questions:

1) is there anything I can do about the broken sounbar?
2) if not, what sounbar should i buy for up to £400?

many thanks!

Hold on a moment.

Did it have an intermittent fault switching on/off before it finally failed?

If so, take a look here - it happened to my 1000 and was an easy and cheap home fix: http://www.avforums.com/forums/av-amplifiers-recei...

Polk are a great brand, just very little promoted here, but very well respected in the USA and I have used then here with great effect.

Thanks chaps.

Soundbar works fine, it's just the remote. I changed the batteries (of course!) but still no joy...

Why not get a Logitech Harmony remote? I assume it will control your soundbar.

Mine is great, controls 4 devices at once.

+1 for a harmony remote if that is the only issue your having.

Great little remotes.
