New house, double integral garage, single ceiling light rose with an Energy Saving bulb. Now I know replacing the bulb with 2 glow worms will improve the light dramatically, but I'm open to suggestions on how to make the garage nice and bright. I'm currently thinking of 2 or 4 flourescent tubes. Downlighters will be too much hassle to fit.

Suggestions?

Fluorescent fittings are the way to go for good useable light, go for the flicker free versions known as high frequency.

I have not long moved into a new build. £400 for a double socket and single bulb , still smarts !
Painted the walls nice and white, replaced the bulb for,a strip light then spurred another cable off it to run another strip lamp over the bench area . Nice bright and clean looking smile
