Stupidly expensive and could never justify buying one, they are exceptionally well made but a TV is top of the range for a short period of time.

Before they went under their technical support was pre historic and setting one up with additional equipment was not a simple task. They were struggling in the UK in May and the TV's were hugely overpriced even when compared to B & O.

I bought a Loewe CRT maybe 12 years ago....it was a great TV and only when HD took hold did I change to a plasma. In the days of CRT they were pretty much the best TV's out there....combined with a great design. They clearly thought design was the way to go because whenever I saw their TV' in the last few years I thought the picture looked poor. Not suprised they've gone.

I'm currently sitting in front of my Loewe Aventos CRT, which is our main TV. It must be over 12 years old, but I can't get rid of it as the picture quality and sound are perfect, and it's never let me down.

I spent 12 happy years with a Loewe Certos CRT because the picture quality outstripped that of any plasma/LED/LCD, (until fairly recently). The time came when it went pop and after many review reading, I ended up with a Panasonic Plasma P50VT50, which is an amazing piece of kit. The build quality of the Loewe flat-screens was beyond reproach, but the price in relation to picture quality comparisons was eye-watering!

I almost cried when the delivery guys dumped the Loewe on a sack trolley, saying it was off to the tip frown

I have Loewe reference ID, and whilst its not the cheapest its a lovely looking and stunning performing piece of kit.

I have had their TVs for a number of years and will continue to do so as long as they are available.

Their designs are even wife friendly!

We've got a 16 year old 32" Loewe Planus in the conservatory, still going strong and still looks modernish in it's built in cabinet. Was a lovely piece of kit in it's day but got relegated in the favourite stakes when I got one of the last 60" Kuro's!
