Home cinema separates/speakers
Discussion
Hi Folks,
I am looking to upgrade my audio.
I bought a basic Panasonic 2.1 blue ray system as an interim solution last year and the time has come for an upgrade.
I think separates will be the way to go but I am a little lost.
It will be used for Sky HD/3D, Apple TV, a PS4(will replace the blueray player). Current TV is a Panasonic and will not be changed.
The room lay out means rear speakers are unnecessary at this point but maybe added in the future and I have been disappointed with the audibility of dialogue from the current 2.1 speakers but understand an av receiver and 3.1 may improve this.
What would you recommend?? Budget is £1-£1.5k. I would like small speakers and any chance of lowering
the number of remotes would be a bonus! The world of separates/AV receivers is new to me but the research has started!
Thanks for any advice

Speaker cable, is it worth splashing out??
No....... http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... . This is just fine http://www.amazon.co.uk/Quality-2-5mm%C2%B2-Loud-S...http://exceptional-av.co.uk/home-cinema/home-cinem...
Thanks for the replies folks. the above seems to tick the boxes and beats the quote from richer sounds by £200. It also neatly solves the cable debate by throwing them in!
