Virgin media and magic eye on 3 floors ?
Discussion
Currently in a groundfloor flat, and am paying about £ 75, for the virgin tv packet and broadband.
We've got a tivo box in the lounge, and a normal V HD box in the bedroom.
Just bought a new house (with my first ever garage
) which apperently has been set up for Virgin media, but doesn't have normal cable, or no normal satelitte or something like that, so we can't get freeview.
The new house has 3 floors, with the lounge on the first floor.
We'll probably stick with VM though might try and get a better deal, though don't fancy forking out loads extra for boxes at all the floors.
We want the tivo box in the lounge (1st floor), watch tv in both bedrooms (2nd floor), and watch tv in the kitchen/conservatory (groundfloor). There's only two of us so no need to watch different shows/tv's at the same time.
I've got no experience with these magic eyes, can i just get a magic eye for every tv and somehow all connect them to the tivo box in the lounge ? And do these eyes work ok over 3 floors ?
And if i would want freeview as well, where would i go to get the satellite installed for this ?

Only sky boxes have a dedicated output for a magic eye.
There is also no analogue output from the Tivo box, i also have a feeling that the scart on the tivo does not work when the box is set up for HDMI.
so either go for
an Aerial put in (freeview), cost between £130 to £200 or
a dish put up (freesat) this will require you to buy recievers for each tv. I see you are dutch if so any european TVs you have may allready have satellite built in?
The other option would be HDMI over cat 5.
