Opinions on Sennheiser CX890i

I'm thinking of buying the following earphones to mainly use on the tube as the iphone standard earphones are crappy and barely audible on the tube.

Any opinions or alternatives for similar prices?

Get the CX300ii.... less than half the cost of those and 99% as good.

Assuming I want to spend my budget of ~£100 what would you suggest - any alternatives? Or would I just be wasting the extra money on the look of them without any real increase in sound quality?

Seems typical on here that people have X amount of money and want to spend it regardless. Yes there are more expensive ones than the CX300ii... but if you just using them on the tube then you really dont need to spend any more... you wont notice any benefit.

It's not that I MUST spend that money, but I budgeted that amount, and wanted to know if I could do much better for the money or whether it would be a waste.

I know little about earphones/headphones to be honest so thought no harm in asking.
