Hi all

I have a Yamaha home cinema amp which is network but the Music server functionality is a bit rubbish as I rarely want to listen to a whole album, rather the odd track here and there.

The web browser is slow and a pain to use and whilst using my tab is a bit better, it's just too frustrating to use.

What I want to know is if there is a device where I can use Windows media or Amarok to set up a playlist and play through my amp. I can't use a cable from my PC hence I ned to be wireless or via the network.

I hate apple so would rather not use Airplay so would something like the following suffice and has anyone used them:-

or

In fact another very relevant question, will I be able to send music over Bluetooth to my hi-fi if I get a device to plug into the amp via phono sockets? I use Win7 and Ubuntu.

Also, anyone used this device at all:-

Networked/Wi-fi/Bluetooth music streaming.
For me this = a SONOS connect + NAS full of music+Spotify through a DAC, works for me.

Thanks mate, I don't really have the budget or the space at this point.

I have a PS3 networked and connected to the amp, I wonder if I can use my PC to connect to the PS3 and remotely use?

7Raspberry Pi running Squeezebox or one of the other audio installs.
I suggest Squeezebox as I use it myself (on dedicated hardware in my case but I've pottered with the software versions). You can control it via an app on android or ithing or use a PC.
