Dead samsung

Basically I turned my television on and it made a loud pop/bang (like a light bulb popping) now the tv wont show a picture, Its older than a year old so I'm guessing its out of warranty as tesco don't want anything to do with it, I've taken the back off which shows no sign of any capacitor damage what do I do?

You might be able to get a replacement power supply online. Try googling the part number on the power board. Of course that might not be the problem but if you can get a replacement at a decent price might be worth a gamble.

Samsung had a run of bad power supplies on some of their models and in most cases were replacing them even tho' most TVs were well out of warranty (mine was 4 years old). I would say it's worth calling Samsung UK and giving them your model/serial number before shelling out cash on a new power unit - hopefully you are covered and they will swap it out for you.
