Hi, I'm considering splashing out on a playbar, but have a couple of questions which hopefully someone can cover for me before the purchase;

1) Wall mounting - in wall mounted mode using the Sonos bracket, do the cables stick out the top / bottom of the playbar?
I would hope they don't, but having looked at one in JL I think they might. Whilst this isn't a massive issue, it would be a bit annoying to splash out on one, cut holes in the walls etc to then find cables sticking out. If they do, maybe its best just leaving it table mounted.

2) Lack of DTS support - I have a STB (Virgin) & DVD player; no blueray or games machines. Do you think the lack of DTS support will not be an issue based on this usage?

Thanks in advance smile

See attached. In my case the cables would be visible at the bottom of the Playbar but you can see that they do not protrude. Sonos recommend that the sockets are on the opposite side of the Playbar to the TV - I don't know why.

I don't know what DTS is, sorry.

Overall, the sound is fantastic from the TV and also as a HiFi. I have the Playbar, Sub and two Play 3's connected up in the lounge.

Thanks for the reply, it looks great - I'm keen to get one smile
The DTS thing is on the Sonos site and quite a few forums; https://ask.sonos.com/sonos/topics/is_there_an_off...

Doesn't sound like it causing you any bother though, and I'm 90% sure it won't be a problem to me so think I'm sold on it.

My TV connection is via the optical digital output from the TV and it sounds great.
