projector vs large led tv cheapest i found 70″ sharp 2k

Hi all im planning my new build soon and planned a projector screen....but just noticed led tvs are now getting cheaper and larger....is a projector a thing of the past.... what would be the advantage of having one over a 70 inch led tv.......thanks for looking

If you go down the route of a large LCD / LED backlit TV, you need to spend quite a lot to have picture quality that is worthwhile. As noted above, the Sharp sets, as big as they might be, aren't wonderful looking when it comes to image. Issues with PQ become more apparent the bigger you go, so it depends if you want a big TV just for a big image, or a high quality image.
VFM would be to go the projector route, but factor in that your room environment will affect image quality. Screens are available that help deal with ambient light issues.
For a large screen LCD / LED backlit TV, you'd be spending upwards of £7k before you get into the TV's with good PQ. Also worth noting that if you get into the 80"+ diagonal zone, 4K / UltraHD becomes a more worthwhile prospect also
