Given we are supposed to fit fire proof jackets around spotlights and speakers when they are fitted in the ceiling, is there an equivalent for fitting a projector screen recessed into the ceiling, or for ceiling projector lifts. Planning on fitting all the above in our new extension, and need to ensure I stay on the right side of the building inspector.
Cheers.

Probably not but if you create a box within the void made of fire line plasterboard and some intumisant sealant, I'm sure that would suffice.

I fit John Cullen spotlights which come non fire rated. In the tech specs it says that the use of a fire hat could cause overheating and that the maximum space should be allowed for.

We get the builders to make the boxes in situ then seal them up.

Never had one fail the local BC
