Armstrong 626 Receiver , any good?
Discussion
This being mortgage week, the week of my daughters birthday, and the week I have to pay over a grand off my holiday, imagine my joy when I discovered I have bought an Armstrong Receiver on ebay whilst under the influence.

This is a similar one, I remember my Dad having one in the seventies, are they any good? Anyone want to buy mine?

How does it sound? I remember my Dad had bis powering Celestion ditton 44 speakers and source was a Thorens turntable.
I am mulling over replacing my Arcam delta 290 with it as it looks alot better, it will then have a Marantz CD52 SE cd player as source, decisions, decisions..
From the 20 minute b
king I got off the wife today its turned up.

The Receiver arrived in the week but as I work away, I couldnt look at it until today, it is a 625 not a 626, the difference bei g it dosnt have AM.
It powers up but remains untested at the moment because my modern flat bi-wire cable wont fit the din plugs.
Im going to gave a mess about with it, all those that have answered the OP stand by for questions.
