So we are finally replacing the 21" crt I bought in, I think, 1995.
Now the space we have will fit a 37" and no larger. Having had a quick look 37 seems a dying breed which is a shame. I assume all come with freeview but I do want iplayer, 4od, itvplayer etc direct onto the tv. Our router is in the same room so that should work fine. Freesat might be nice.
I don't think I want 3d and we don't game so nothing particularity geared up for that.

I've found a panasonic but not much else.
We could drop to 32 as there are hundreds of them but it would be a shame not to maximise the screen size. Budget - whatever it takes to get us what we want.
Any suggestions anyone?

Too true. The range of 37" against 40" is strikingly small is it not
I once bought a Samsung 37" and it had a fault which meant it had to be returned a 40" beer model was only £50 more.

I think it's screen size that is effectively being phased out by manafacturers to be blunt
