I have a Play 5 which is hooked up to my Sky box via a 3.5mm cable from the back of the Sky box to the line in.

I'd like to have surround sound by adding two Play 1s - would this set up work or do i need to arrange my set up in another way?

Thanks

No, sorry, the Play:5 only has stereo speakers, rather than needing 3 for the front Left, Centre, Right.

Play:Bar is the only one that has this capability.

Ah ok, so will two play 5s produce a stereo sound where the input is the 3.5mm socket from the back of the sky box to the line in of the play 5 that's already there?

Never tried it to be honest.

But you can set the Play:1, 3 and 5's to operate as a stereo pair to give a nice bit of separation, so you should be ok with then using a stereo input into the back of one of them.

I would double check with sonos tech support first though as it is a bit of an odd way round of doing it.
