Samsung series 6 46'' Smart TV.

Aerial cable Maspro Denkoh 75omh 6m long from wall to TV with 90 degree plastic cover plugs, self wired, plugged into AIR socket at TV.
3 HDMI cable from Notebook, PS3, Xbox all plugged into TV.

Signal is not great, but digital viewing is smooth enough.

Problem : As soon as a device is switched on using HDMI, doesn't matter which one of the three HDMI device, the digital TV signal will be lost or it gets so bad the picture is very distorted. But once the HDMI device is switched off or the HDMI cable from a switched on device is unplugged, the digital TV signal goes back to normal and viewing is good again.

I've called my supplier and they are going to send someone out to see if it's a bad TV sometimes next week, but in the meantime has anyone ever had this problem before or maybe have a idea what's going on?

Could it be because I'm using cheapo plastic cover 90 degree plugs therefore the signal is getting interference from HDMI? Is that possible?

The socket layout are packed close together, the three HDMI sockets are directly inline on top of the Cable and AIR socket, but I've never heard anyone who has the same problem as me, I'm sure everyone can switch on their notebook/PS3/xbox but continue to watch TV without a problem...

Any ideas?

interference from HDMI? Is that possible?
Yes, quite common, as the HDMI cable can radiates frequencies similar to those used by the Freeview transmission channels, causing the interference.

Suffered the same problem, and cured it by changing the HDMI cables, and routing them so that there was a good separation between the HDMI cables and the aerial lead.
