Sky multi-screen box interaction

Hi,

Thinking about the sky multi-screen upgrade but would want to share recorded programs between boxes - I remember reading on another thread a while ago this was developed but not enabled yet by Sky.

Having programs recorded in another room and not being able to access them from elsewhere would be a real pain.

You're right that it isn't active yet. It's is undergoing testing I believe but I've also heard that it's been pushed back several times. It's also rumoured that Sky's multiscreen, non recordable HD box they normally use will get Wi-Fi capability later this year so they may then offer it again. The only way to do it now would be to run a cable to the other box which kind of defeats the purpose of Multiscreen.

Thanks for this - will keep an eye out how it progresses later in the year

In the meantime I'm going to investigate the splitter / CAT5 distribution methods
