Amazon Cloud Player or Google Play?
Discussion
Which would you choose?
Was using iTunes up to now but with a new laptop I store all my music on NAS so no need for anything local. Was thinking of an alternative to iTunes and in the past have bought music from both Amazon and Google, the Google seems to have sync'd all my Amazon stuff too.
I use an Android phone if that makes a difference. I want to be able to buy music that is downloaded to my NAS but be able to play it through my laptop and phone.
Any recommendations? Is there a better alternative to the 2 above that lets me do what I need?

They're both cloud. If your music is on your NAS you don't need either. Just stream it from your NAS. Assuming it has DLNA and you have a reasonable upload speed on your broadband you could also set this up to stream remotely to any device.
I sync with Google Cloud purely because it means I have access to my music anywhere I have a browser or app and an internet connection. Google will sync 20k tracks for free I think. Only used amazon player when I wanted to listen to something I bought on CD before it arrives.

I use google cloud just as a backup for my NAS. Google won't release the API so it can be used by Sonos or other streamers - they are trying to tie you in to just using Google player.
But I'm quite happy to use their disc space.
Also gives me access when away from home - I can't be arsed to work out how to get access to my NAS over t'internet, but I know its capable.

I've actually managed to figure that - pretty amazing for me!I'll probably go for the Google because it seems to just work, just trying to remember if when you purchase content online you get the option of a save directory as I'd like it all to save direct to the NAS rather than me have to move it.
