Anyone got or used one of these? Subscribed to Netflix a few days ago and as the telly downstairs has smart functions, the one upstairs doesnt. We would like to watch from upstairs and this seems to fit the bill to stream from wifi without another box sitting next to the telly. Chromecast was the other option but I like the idea of it having its own remote and not using my phone as one.

Picked one up yesterday, works fine. Powered by the usb port on the tv (so goes in both an hdmi port and a usb port), or can be powered by a usb phone charger, also included.

Remote is bluetooth, so it isn't fussed about being behind a TV. It's quite a nice solid but small remote.

I chose it over the chromecast as the chromecast doesn't (yet) do Amazons streaming service (Roku seem to support about 3 times the numbers of content providers.

It works perfectly well on my 720p TV, not tried it on either of the 1080's, as I've no need to.

Takes about 30 odd seconds to boot each time, and another 30 to load netflix, it's not instant on by any means. But once up, I didn't detect any slow down.

Some reviews mention the response to the remote being slow. This is in comparison to the other roku boxes, apparently; it appears fine to me, no noticeable or distracting lagging.

It is more expensive than the chromecast ($50 vs $30 here), but worth it alone for the extra content providers; the remote makes it a no brainer.
