My Samsung TV (about 8 years old) has a weird fault thats got me completely vexxed. When I put the BBC red button content on, the enter button on the remote becomes non responsive. I can see the tv button on the remote flashes, as does the red led on the tv itself, but the selection is not actioned. When on DTV the button works fine and every press gets actioned. The remote is on fresh batteries, the IR plate has been cleaned on both the remote and TV but still no response on red button.

Has anyone got any ideas on what could be the cause could be? With the Common wealth games coming up a lot of the content I will be watching will be red button.

It seems a shame to ditch a perfectly good tv that still 99.9% functional for the sake of this glitch.

Many thanks
CD

Genuinely, have you changed your batteries?

Ours does odd things when they get low.

Red button can also be accessed on channel 301
Does it still have issues when you access the content this way ?
