Probably a bit of a long shot but has anyone successfully configured a Logitech Harmony Ultimate to work with a Panasonic home cinema system.

I bought it as I added a media centre PC to my set up so the main reason was to control that but to also get rid of the other remotes.

50" Plasma (TXP50VT30B) connected to home cinema (SC-BTT370) with an HDMI cable and uses ARC to feed the audio back from the TV tuner to the home cinema. I think part of the problem is that ARC only works with Viera Link enabled which is at odds to how the Harmony prefers things. I quite like some of the Viera link features though. The other pain is the home cinema doesn't have IR codes to directly select an input (e.g. HDMI1, HDMI2, Aux, ARC etc.), there is a button to cycle through them or use the menu.

The workaround I've seen for this is to add a sequence at the end of an activity to simulate the actions of accessing the menu e.g. Home->Up->Left->Enter->Enter but it seems a bit hit and miss as to whether it works or not.

Any advice?

I have a Pioneer receiver that does not have individual function buttons on its own remote but it must receive them from the harmony ultimate because it does not have to cycle through the sources to get to the right one.

The biggest issue I had with mine was the HDMI control on the receiver conflicting with the harmony. It was as if they were having an argument. As soon as I turned it off everything worked perfectly.
