I’ve just bought a couple of Sonos products and I am about to start looking at what internet streaming service to use. I’m looking for some guidance/recommendations.
I have 6 months free Google play so I’ll use that first. After that I’ll look to change.

I want something that is easy to use, has lots of choice and I’m not sure what else!!??
I will be using ios.

Any help appreciated.

I've been very happy with my Spotify subscription. Seamlessly works with Sonos as well.

I think you can use facebook login details, but there is an option if you don't use FB.

I was in exactly the same boat as you a couple of months back. The Sonos gear I bought came with a free trial of Napster for 30 days which I tried and liked so check if yours comes with it too. It will be in the menu under more music I think it was.

Since then I have swapped to Spotify as they are offering a 30 day free trial also. In fact if you look at all the main contenders they are pretty much all offering this trial so I intend to try them all and see which one works best.

So far for me I think I preffered Napster. The UI seemed more intuitive and I liked the recomendations and stuff. Spotify only has this through the spotify app not through the sonos UI.

Try them all is my recomendation.

I bought a Bridge and a couple of Play 1's about a month ago and signed up to the Spotify free trial, I have stuck with it on he basis that it works so well. I love thinking of a tune and having it playing within 20 seconds. I am going to buy 2x more Play 1's this week with any luck.

Love SONOS and love spotify

What Sonos products did you buy? Running with a separate hifi system? For a high quality FLAC streaming service give Qobuz a try.

I've just switched to spotify after a couple of years with napster, 2 reasons for the change is a slightly better catalogue with spotify also the playlists are better.

I have just gone with google play at the moment. 6 months free. After that I'll look at others and I wait to see what beats do with Apple.

I went and bought the additional x2 Play 1's on Friday so now have 4 in total. 2 as a stereo pair in the sitting room, 1 in our bedroom and 1 in our daughters bedroom.

I can play 3 different songs in 3 different rooms at 3 different volumes at the same time and control it all from my phone. I can also group the two bedrooms together to play the same song at the same or different volumes which is great when we are upstairs bathing our daughter as music fills the upstairs.

I am addicted and will possibly get a Play 5 or a Connect Amp next.

Spotify for me also. I'm going to transfer all my iTunes to Spotify too, as I am now using it more than Apple for music. I just seem to use iTunes for movies on my Apple TV. Currently just using a SONOS Playbar in the TV room and Bose Soundock in the kitchen, but can see this getting moved upstairs soon to make way for a Play 1.

Cheers - I've been looking for a streaming FLAC service. What's their catalogue like ?

Another Spotify user here. Pretty happy with it.

I do note though that amazon have just added music streaming to prime membership in the US, so I'm keen to see how that compares.

If you're a Prime customer you can add their current offering to Sonos. Any CDs you've bought via them are available to stream.
