Is there a quick, cheap and dirty option for taking the SCART output from an STB (which has no HDMI output) and feed it into a telly that only has HDMI input?

Thanks.

Does your telly also have any component inputs hidden round the back?

So no, not even one of those 3.5mm jack plugs that support component inputs.

It is HDMI only, not strictly a telly even, but it will display HDMI, I only have a SCART output to feed into this display that only has HDMI input.

Short Anson, no.

Scart us analogue only, composite, svideo or rgb.

Hdmi is digital only.

You would need a box of some description to convert

Cheapest way would be to look on freecycle for a CRT smile

Not sure what you expect in terms of 'cheap' but this is about as cheap a solution as you're likely to find;

scart to HDMI

£60 + cables. No idea how well this one works but buy cheap take your chances...
