Soundbar with iPod dock or simple connectivity

Have samsung smart TV (40D6500 I think) and has the samsung thing where it links to the blu ray player etc

Not much room in the lounge and lots of physical obstructions around TV, fireplace etc so running cables and big surround systems a pain. I also want something that can dock both mine and the kids apple devices, (current generation touch and nanos so all lightening connectors) or if it has simple enough bluetooth that can remember multiple devices (I'm a numpty and kids are 7 & 9 so it has to be simple)

Have seen a few recommendations for soundbars, but the few that have ipod docks are the old 30 pin jobs. Can get an adaptor of course but looks pretty ugly

Anyone use anything that fits the above? Sorry to the audiophiles for the noddy questions, years ago I really did like my Arcam gear, but now user and kid friendliness comes first!

eta there is room for separate subwoofer behind cabinet or wireless somewhere else

Dont decent ones there days have NFC (Near Field Communication) so no need for a connector, it is a wireless world....especially for music streaming.
