Wireless headphones

I'm looking for a good quality set of headphones for use on my home AV system and was looking for some recommendations.
Requirements would be the ability to use it on two different TV's (multiple wireless transmitter stations?), and of course should be comfortable.
So you are aware of my set-up. Downstairs, the wireless station would be plugged directly into my AV amp so that's nice and easy.
Upstairs, there is no AV amp and I only have a TV with audio outlook. I need to work out if that is switchable but I'm not sure yet.
Is this even possible?
