Soundmagic PL50 IEM
Discussion
So I got a set of these the other day and I'm very impressed with the clarity and detail. However, they seem a bit bass light. I need to have my fingers pressed onto the back of the them to achieve sufficient bass. Am I simply not wedging them tightly enough into my ear or do I need to adjust the equalization?
With any IEM, and especially a balanced armature one, the trick is to find a sleeve/tip that seals properly, otherwise the low end will sound very thin.
The PL50 is a very good IEM by the way.
ETA, then it also depends on what IEMs you have used before, a balanced armature IEM will not have the same bass response as a dynamic one, and the PL50 is a single BA setup, with multiple BAs you get close to a dynamic bass, but with much better clarity and detail, but then the cost is much higher too.
Did that make any sense
