Sonos is only the speaker / amp not the receiver so yes you can. You can listen to anything sent from the iPhone or a similar device.
That's not quite right. Sonos doesn't support Airplay* or bluetooth, so you can't send everything from your iPhone or similar to your Sonos speakers. The Sonos app lets you play music that's stored on your iPhone (PC, mac, nas, etc...), and the Sonos system itself supports lots of streaming services (spotify etc...). But if you have a 3rd party app on your iPhone you can't get it to play through Sonos*2.
Sonos includes TuneIn radio, which gets you all of the radio stations you could want.
- you can get airplay on Sonos if you connect an Apple Airport express to a Sonos device with a phono-in.
- 2 you could connect your iPhone to a sonos device with a phono-in and then play music from any iPhone app, but that's not wireless.
Edit to fix quotes and add: actually Sonos is the receiver. The app is just a controller, the Sonos device connects to the music source.
