Optical Audio Problem
Discussion
Hi All,
I have a Sky Box, a Blu Ray and an Apple TV connected to a Wyrestorm Matrix. The output of the Wyrestorm is via HDMI-CAT6 and CAT6-HDMI into the TV.
The TV is connected to a Sonos Playbar via optical from the rear of the TV.
My issue is that over time the sound ends up after the video! Delaying the sound is not possible as it makes the issue worse. I have looked through the TV settings but nothing is un toward.
Can anyone make any suggestions? I was thinking of maybe an optical switch of some sorts,
For the Techi people I have control4 and can program it but can't delay the video as such.
Thanks in advance

Odd as audio is usually ahead of video due to video processing, as such most AV gear includeds audio delay settings - nothing to delay video though. There are numerous posts detailing similar issues with popular TV brands (Sony, Panasonic), it appears some TVs have a delayed optical audio output under some conditions. Almost certainly the TV is at fault but suggest you test, can you try using a different TV?I have a Sky Box, a Blu Ray and an Apple TV connected to a Wyrestorm Matrix. You could try sending audio indepentantly as well; optical to electrical conversion, send over CAT5 and convert back. Bit messy but...
