Long Reach TV Bracket??
Discussion
Hi All,
My first post in this section so please bear with me.
I am after a TV bracket for my Sony TV that is capable of reaching from the wall to roughly 1200mm. Basically i want to mount the tv bracket under my stairs with the TV just emerging, this will allow me to build the remaining stair void underneath into a sort of TV cabinet. My question is, does anyone know of a tv bracket that can reach this far? I have been on the hunt on Google but have not had much luck!
The wall it will be fixed on is a solid brick wall and the TV is a 40" Sony Bravia.
Thanks

You will struggle to find a mount to go 1200mm from the wall, and even if you could find one i suspect at 1200mm it will sag unless its very well engineered.
The only other way i can think of doing it would be to use a mounting pole hung from the stairs with a shorter bracket attached.
Or build a false wall using mdf or ply behind the tv and use a standard bracket.
Either way it will be commercial grade stuff you need and therefore a commercial price will apply!

Thanks for the reply, the false wall sounds like a good option. One thing i hadn't thought of was using the side wall under the stairs and mounting a bracket to this that can rotate the tv reducing the reach of the bracket. Either way a solution seems to be forming! ThanksThe only other way i can think of doing it would be to use a mounting pole hung from the stairs with a shorter bracket attached.
