Hi,

I've just purchased an allroom air one AirPlay speaker. It connects to my wireless network and both of my iPhone's find it on AirPlay - if you then play a song you can control the volume but it doesn't actually play anything, basically no sound. So the track plays but nothing comes through on the speaker. Any ideas? Firmware update maybe?

Silly question but have you downloaded the setup app from the apps store? Mine works fine and is also a great 'soundbar' for a TV.

Yes, I did it via the app. I've even tried playing via a 3.5mm cable but still no sound. I think I'll be ringing on Monday to sort an exchange.

Out of interest, how impressed have you been with yours? Most of the reviews say the sound is excellent!

For playing music in a room that is 16 x 14 ft it is wonderful. Deep base, a rounded sound with real body when I stream Tidal to it without any issues. I also use it for TV as a sound bar / sound base and again for films and vocal it is wonderful. I like the simplicity of its appearance, the removable mesh to reveal the controls and its feeling of solidarity yet without looking too modern and gimmicky. No problems at my end and it does sound as if something is amiss with yours.
