I need to replace my ageing Bose sound dock, are HK Soundstick III's any good?

They will situated on my desk and mainly used for streaming Spotify premium on my MBP.

Should I consider any alternatives? I had thought about a budget amp and speakers, but space is an issue and maybe overkill just for streaming music from a laptop.

They are simply SUPERB.
Great Bass clear and rich they just work
Serious comment though - shop around prices can range from £80 to £120

The Kef X300A's look amazing, although I'm not sure I can justify £600 for desk speakers to the wife.
