Android/Google/Kodi Box

Hi all, quick question. I am about to purchase one of these boxes on eBay for parents as they are getting rid of sky. I have used kodi/xmbc in the past and I'm pretty confident that I can show dear mum around the interface.

Anyhow, my question is - can anyone recommend a box or what I should look out for and what I should avoid when purchasing?

I've only ever used kodi on my phone and laptop so your advice would be warmly welcomed.

Im willing to bet your mother will not use it.
These things are fine for those prepared to put the time in to maintain them.
The problem is that streams move get deleted etc and the stream sources get shut down by the lawyers.
Have you considred a Linux based satellite box with a "gift" ? Much more like her current set up

What are they going to use it for?

Locally stored film and TV on a NAS or are you trying to use it to stream dodgy movies and TV? Will they still have a freeview or freesat feed?
