What kit to get for my new room?

Hi I am looking for some advice.

The room we are having built is getting to the point where I need to make some decisions on the kit going into it. I have delayed as long as possible for budget reasons, but I can delay no further.

The room is going to be used as a games room, playing pool watching football, films and listening to music.

To be clear I'm not looking for anything massively high end but would like something suitable for my needs.

I'd like a 50-60 inch TV which will be wall mounted
I'd like a surround sound system.
preferable my own amp so that I can then plug in my Xbox, Ipod etc

my budget is £1500

I was thinking £700 TV
£700 speakers and Amp
£100 for the cabling

How big is the room and where do you intend to put your toys?

Are you wanting to go real surround (7-1) or sticking with front and side (5-1)?

The room is 5 x 5

I think on that budget it will be 5.1 but 7.1 would be amazing
