Naim Muso (positioning & alternatives)
Discussion
Quite interested in the Naim Muso. Currently have a Logitech Squeezebox running and taking audio from a 1TB NAS and it does my head in! However, one good thing is that its easily connected to my current AV amp and speakers.
With the Muso having its own amps and speakers, it would be logical to place it between my current speakers, however that's easier said that done.
If you have a Muso, where and how have you mounted/located it?
Maybe the Muso isn't ideal for my requirement, apart from Sonos are there any other decent units that will stream from my NAS or the internet and play through my current Amp/speakers?

The Muso isn't too fussy but it still needs a bit of thought regards positioning.
The best advice is that if you are going for one anyway, set it up where you want and see how it sounds.
There are very few tonal adjustments, only distance from the wall behind, and a loudness setting (which reduces effectiveness, the louder the volume).
Having said that. both of mine are stuffed in where they fit (until i re-organise) and are performing brilliantly.
Download the Naim App, connect up to your network via cat5e and away you go!

Still yet to find time to demo one of these units.
What is the 'soundstage' like given the speakers proximity to each other. I can understand with separate speakers they are mounted apart, you sit somewhere between them and can perceive left and right channels, but how does it work with the Mu-so?
