As the title says really, I quite fancy one as an all in one audio solution for a fairly large open plan living area.

I have listened to one and I own a couple of R4's and the new R2's. I am always pretty impressed by the sound and depth they achieve. There isn't really anything else like it on the market if you are going to use it on its stand stylistically either.

Yah, I have an R1, and have had an R2 for years, and have been impressed.

I am going to use it on its stand, as a piece of furniture, and as the audio for a projector set up, radio, cd etc. I've grown bored of how intrusive into space audio visual stuff can be, hence projector set up, and am hoping this could be the sound solution, but am worried I will miss real hifi quality sounds, and wondering how close this gets to it.

Always liked the look of the R7 and the Ruark's I've experienced have always been much more 'room filling' than their size would suggest.

Bought one for my Dad and he is delighted with the sound, though I hadn't previously heard of them! In fact they get rave reviews all round.

welcome back the radiogram.

However Like the radiogram, its a piece of furniture at the end of the day and may not fit decor/period of the room its placed in. It may even be more wife unfriendly than more traditional options.

having said all that sound is probably pretty good if its got the Raurk name on it.
