Some ramblings that I hope someone can advise on.

I live very close to a tv transmitter (Marlborough) but this is a repeater Tx and hence only transmits a liited number of channels. In order to receive all the channels I am used to (Quest etc), I have to also tune to the Hannigton Tx - this transmits all the standard terestrial Digital TV channels.

I presume that my antenna is incorrectly aligned for this as my antenna faces the local Tx.

The problem arises that the Hannigton Tx is some way from my home and on hot days as well as days of bad weather the signal is weak casuing image pixelation.

So, I have tuned all channels that I can to the Marlborough Tx and all others to the Hannington Tx.
I could buy an amplifer, but this would over load the signal coming into my TV from the Tx close to home?

The only other option is to completly re-align the aerial to the Hannington Tx and use a amplifer to boost all channels from here?

Apologies for the poor write up - trying to rush this through whilst the boss is out of the office.

Yes you need to re-align the aerial. You'll also need to change the 'polarity' of the aerial, it is probably on the vertical (V) polarity, if it's pointing towards a local sub transmitter, the main Hannington transmitter will be horizontal (H)

Finally you'll need a wide band antenna (W), your current aerial may well be just band A.

Time to get the aerial man in. Put your postcode in here and tick detailed view, then post up the results http://www.digitaluk.co.uk
