Panasonic connection issues

I've got a 50 inch G20 plasma and a Yamaha RXV765 surround sound amp..

following ditching virgin TV, I decided to reconfigure the setup as the TV running both Freesat and Freeview now

I connected the TV via Toslink to the amp,,,, Freesat broadcasting 5.1 and is FAB..... how ever I now can't get the on demand stuff ie iPlayer

Is there a problem with having the toslink connected, or is there something I need to change on the TV settings... amp doesn't have Ethernet connectivity ???

ok not a problem with the amp/tv talking to themselves and not a connection issue...... it was an internet issue, worked last night and did a big fat nothing to it
