Wonder if any of you knowledgeable peeps can help. I have a projector setup in my summer house that is linked in to a Yamaha amp and 7.1 speaker setup. All the ouputs from Blu-ray, PC, games consoles etc go into the amp and then I just have one HDMI that goes to the projector.
We are relocating to Singapore shortly and as part of the shipping I'm thinking of taking the projector. What I'm not going to do is unwire my complete speaker system and, with our place in SG being rented, I won't be able to chase wires away and don't want tonnes of cabling lying everywhere.
So, is there a soundbar type device that I can use to handle the audio but can also switch the various inputs to allow one HDMI video out? Can any of these devices take a google chromecast as would be thinking of using this (if it works out there...not sure yet)

regards
Ben

Most of the upper Yamaha YSP soundbars will do this for you.

Effectively they operate the same as you amp in doing you source switching as well as amp and sound output duties.

Other manufactures may well do this as well, so have a look at Sony, LG and possibly Samsung as well.
