WHAT TV FOR XMAS - PISTONHEADS HELP REQUIRED
Discussion
good morning learned friends. On a recent visit to fried we were treated to a televisual experience - a panasonic 55" VIERA LED. For context we watch a 42" lcd tv right now - there was no comparison. Even in regular form the 55" was a stunning picture (in our humble opinion) and then the 3D thing well that was the icing on the cake.
So we've decided to upgrade our tv experience (Current telly - LCD 42" LG) but are unsure on which way to go - specifically with the tricky question of 4k. So our needs are
55" max - might drop down a step
Viera-like picture
3D
Our 'input' devices are
BT Freeview (Tv through terrestrial antenna and broadband)
PS4 blue-ray DVD player
Apple TV
We don't have sky nor do we want to get it
Questions - whats the deal with 4K?
Can we achieve Televisual wonderment for under £750?
As always - our grateful thanks in advance - Mr & Mrs JJ
