Time for a new TV - can anyone offer suggestions?
Discussion
Evening all,
After a good few years with our Samsung 40' TV (1 HDMI, "HD Ready", ie no 1080p, over a grand just a few years back...) I fancy a change.
I'm after something around the same size, not fussed for 4K, will be used for TV via Virgin Tivo and linked to a PS4. The latter is great, so I'm not fussed for a Smart TV as the PS45 can do most of that, I think, but it may not be avoidable. Image quality is paramount.
Only thing is, it has to be Sony. I know this is sad and irrational but I like Sony stuff and I've always fancied one of their TVs.
So what should I be looking at and where from? What's the thing to look for? Is an 800hz set noticeably better than 200hz?
Can't say as I know very much about this, so any pointers welcome. Looking to spend around £500, will I get something decent (with a soundbar?) for that?
Thanks.
