Hi all
I am looking to set up a tv sender so we can send the sky signal to a tv in the bedroom.
I have looked at these type of senders:

what it doesn't say is if you can watch a different channel downstairs to the one upstairs.
Anyone know if you can do this with these type of senders, if they done what do others use/suggest??
cheers
Andy

You can't, because they basically plug into the output from the sky box - so you're basically seeing whatever the sky box is showing downstairs.

Note also that I have something similar, although it's a good few years old - and it's pretty poor. Sometimes you get a very good picture / sound - until you move your right foot half an inch to the left and the picture breaks up. Oh - and when I used mine, it also has the benefit that it completely killed my wi-fi.

I thought Sky had better ways of showing the picture in multiple rooms.

You'll need Sky Multiroom if you want to watch a different channel, that's a second Sky box in your bedroom, think it's about £10 per month.

Those wireless senders are not great, as said they don't work well, especially through walls. Note they may also screw your's and your neighbours WiFi. Better off running a coax cable up from the back of the Sky box to the bedroom, fit a magic eye for remote control, still have to watch the same channels though.

If you are happy to have the same channel on both TVs at the same time - use the RF2 output, run a cable, and use a "magic eye" at the far end. Costs relatively little, and works well.
